Roswell, New Mexico

So, I had to do it. I had to watch the new Roswell. To my surprise, it wasn’t bad. I wouldn’t say as good as the original. But, I could see giving it a couple more episodes. Who knows, I might even watch the whole season. Of course, as long as I don’t get behind.

There were similar parts between the new and the original, but I could see the new version going in its own direction. Instead of Liz Parker, we meet Liz Ortecho. It’s been ten years since high school. Right there is the second difference. The original takes place in high school. The third difference is that Liz had a sister, Rosa. So, as you can see there are some differences.

Max still has the same last name, Evans. This time, he is a cop. Which I found interesting.  Also, interesting he works with Sheriff Valenti. If you remember the original. The two started off on the wrong foot. Also a difference in this one? Valenti is a woman. Not a bad thing, I could get used to it. She still has Kyle as her son. We do meet Kyle in this one, but the two didn’t interact with each other.

Hopefully, this doesn’t spoil it. But, we’ll just say the way Max saves Liz in this one, is very similar to the original.

I will have to do spoiler posts eventually. Especially, because I would like to discuss characters like Alex and Michael. Give me one more episode for that. All I can say is that there is definitely a difference from the original with those two characters.

Did you see it? What did you think? Please beware of spoilers in the comment section. Enter the comments at your own risk.

Sunday Night Television Part 2

The+CW+Orders+More+Scripts+For+CHARMED+Reboot+And+OthersAfter Doctor Who last night, I decided after much thought to watch Charmed. Not just the old Charmed, but the new Charmed. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it because I was a fan of the original. Thinking, how could they reboot it? But, again. So many other shows are being rebooted. Some with new cast or old cast. This one has an all-new cast.

Now that I’ve seen the episode, I can say it’s not exactly a reboot. Yes, there are similar things from the original. But, I think they can make it on their own without copying the original too much. There is the white lighter, three sisters, and book of shadows.

I have to watch the original again and I feel like I should know this because of being a fan of the original. Maybe I was tired, but it looked to be the same house on the outside. Definitely different on the inside.

The powers seem to be similar, except the youngest sister can read minds. The original, the youngest sister had visions. The only other thing I can think of that is similar. Is that one sister is actually a half-sister.

If you are a fan of Game of Thrones and see the demon of the week. I’m sure you’ll think what I’m thinking. He looks very similar to a character from Game of Thrones.

The white lighter, not sure what to think of him yet. There is something about him, I feel like we can’t trust him. But, there is a reason for that. I don’t want to go into that due to spoilers.

I do hope to do spoiler posts eventually, but I’ll warn you when I do.

For Charmed though, I could see me liking it. I just hope it doesn’t get backed up like all my other shows. Hopefully, I won’t be binge watching it over the summer, lol.

Supernatural/Scooby-Doo Crossover

supernatural-scooby-dooCan I just say how excited I am for the Supernatural and Scooby-Doo crossover? Growing up, I loved Scooby-Doo. I still have my stuffed animal of Scooby-Doo and poster my mom framed for me. I don’t care how old I get, I’ll love those items for as long as possible. Of course, Supernatural is one of my all-time favorite shows out there. So having these two together? This episode is going to be epic. I can’t wait to see it. Here is the teaser for the episode.
